I’m tired of being labeled “angry” by people , like it’s some kind of flaw.
Erm…..hello? Of course I’m angry. Of course I’m fucking triggered when I see women & children being murdered, brutalised, erased again and again, by men.
And let’s be real: when people say “angry,” they mean aggressive, angry. They say it like it’s a character flaw, like I’m irrational. But you know what’s irrational? Thinking I wouldn’t be furious.
Do I need to spell it out for you?
My auntie was raped and burned alive. Her killer? Given 14 years. Fourteen years. Why? Because of “mental health issues.” That was their excuse. He’s out now living his life, whilst my family is destroyed.
My mother? She almost died at the hands of my stepfather. He tried to kill her. They gave him a light sentence too because he was in “crack psychosis.” Another excuse. (The ripple effects of his sisters murder)
Me? I’ve survived more than I should have. Every man who’s harmed me? Either walked away with a slap on the wrist or was found not guilty. My ex? Beat me time and time again. He didn’t stop with me. He went on to abuse other women. He’s now on Clare’s Law. However, he suffers from NPD and histrionic traits so it’s not his fault according to a psychologist. Another excuse.
And let’s talk about Bibaa and Nicole two beautiful women murdered in the park. The same park I was in, just two days earlier, taking pictures of parakeets. They said their killer was in psychosis too. Another excuse.
And these are just the personal cases, my own lived experiences. That’s not even counting the millions of women and children trafficked, abused, and murdered across the world every single day.
So YES, I’m fucking angry.
YES, I’m fucking vocal.
And NO, I will not tone it down to make anyone comfortable.
Because how many more women and children have to die before people start listening?
When will we be safe?
Stop labeling my rage. Start questioning why it exists.

I don’t have time to include every comment and message, but this is the kind of response I get whenever I speak out about violence against women and children:
